Ilke & Sven

This intimate celebration looked like a shoot! Ilke trusted me completely and just asked for props to create an `Out of Africa` look and feel. I packed all my vintage maps, some books and synthetic kudu horns. As most of the guests were from Europe we wanted to show them that some ethnic elements can be added and still look upmarket. Wooden boat shape vases and rattan candle holders were used to show off soft petaled roses, anemone and blushing brides. I gathered dried organic matter , seedpods, leaves, branches , grasses.  these textures were so at home in the Bushveld. This was a unique marriage of Europe and Africa and played out in the décor.
